Building pages
There are several places to build pages within the application. The first would be within the pages" tab at the top left hand corner of the application. You will notice a drop down that will allow you to ADD a new page and COPY and existing page.
- To build a new page, click on the "add a new page".
- A window will open allowing you to insert the page name
- The page title - the title of the page is extremely important to search engine so to try to be as descriptive as possible when describing the page.
- The keywords - keywords will help the search engines understand what the page content is about. Try inserting keywords specifically for web searching. Ask yourself "what would I type into the search engines to find me".
- The search description - this allows the search engines to get a brief synopsis about the content of the page. Again, try to be as descriptive as possible.
- Use Template - The final selection in the building pages section is the "use template". By default, a template will already be selected for you. It is an important to also note all templates created by the system or by you listed within this drop down allowing you to assign any template any layout to any page. This window is very similar to the page properties section as well, which will allow you to assign templates to any given page.
- Once you've entered all of the fields, on the top right hand corner "continue". This will insert the new page allowing you to continue building pages or to begin editing the newly created page. To continue building pages, simply click the " add another page". Using this method will allow you to build pages very quickly.
Copying pages works exactly the same except that you will select the page that you would like to copy and follow the steps above.
